What we mean by a training ladder
Waterfall training keeps barracks at different promotion stops. You prepare a lower-tier batch, then move it upward through the available tiers instead of treating each barracks as a separate end point.
The training guide uses barracks unlocks and event training values to describe this approach. The right ladder depends on your Castle level and how many barracks you have; it is not one universal setup for every account.
Prepare the route before the batch
Identify your highest available troop tier and the intermediate stops you can actually use. Keep the strongest barracks as the final destination. Other barracks can serve as earlier promotion stops.
Do not change several barracks blindly because a high-level setup looks tidy. First check whether you would remove a useful lower-tier stop or lose the ability to follow the planned route.
Make the event rules part of the plan
The reference tables points to the Soldier Training phase in Race to Ace and Soldier Training tasks on Royal Chest’s fifth day. Treat those as reference clues and verify the active event in your game before timing a batch.
Training points and speed-up points are separate categories in the reference. Do not count both twice, or assume an event uses the same score rules as another event.
Keep unfinished troops from becoming a bottleneck
- Check Drill Ground space before starting a lower-tier batch.
- Record the sequence of promotion stops so you know where the batch goes next.
- Finish the route before you need those soldiers in a combat march.
- Review the current event’s collection and scoring rules before using saved speed-ups.

Check before you spend
Game rules and values can change. Verify active event rules, recruitment odds and upgrade costs in-game before spending.
