Name the role your squad needs
Begin with the gap you are trying to fill: a sturdier front line, another damage option or support. Use the hero library’s role and faction filters to narrow the shortlist.
This site does not run a combat simulator or publish a verified best-in-slot ranking. We can help you compare recorded skills and starting attributes; we cannot promise that one portrait will solve every matchup.
Compare the version you actually own
Base and promoted versions are separate records. Check the rarity, faction and skill descriptions on the specific profile instead of assuming that two heroes with the same name have identical effects.
Starting HP, Attack and Defense are not final battle statistics. Equipment, level, stars and other bonuses change what you see in-game.
Price the commitment before switching
Use the EXP and shard planners for a realistic target. Promoted SSR shard costs use a different column in the upgrade table, so the planner selects that setting when you open it from a promoted hero’s profile.
Then compare the required resources with what you already have. A hero that fits your squad but cannot be upgraded yet may be a future goal rather than today’s spending priority.
Keep a shortlist, not a shopping list
- Save a few relevant hero profiles for comparison.
- Read the skills alongside the role you need them to fill.
- Confirm the available recruitment method in the current game.
- Invest toward a stated goal and reassess after you reach it.
